Modularis water meter attachment with LoRaWAN® WMA V2

This water meter attachment is designed for meter registers with a Modularis system shaft. The mechanical register is scanned inductively. LoRaWAN® is used as the radio technology. The attachment module is configured via an optical interface. LoRa provides long range, meaning far fewer gateways are needed. The radio protocols last from a few milliseconds up to 1–2 seconds. Various transmission intervals and protocols are available. Many parameters, such as the meter reading date month or device PIN, can be configured remotely over LoRa.

Activation options:

  • via flow detection of a preset volume of water
  • via an optical probe and an activation command
    using a PC program or Android app
  • via a special activation head that sends the activation command

wM-BUS Gateway
The wM-Bus gateway receives wireless M-Bus protocols in T/C/S mode, filters them as required, stores them temporarily and sends them to a server over an IP connection. 

The gateway does not have a mobile data connection. It uses existing networks only. It is particularly suitable for stationary reception of wM-BUS protocols using an existing internet connection. Internet routers are usually already installed. In most cases, no router settings need to be changed. 
Simply plug the gateway into the router's USB port (optionally using a USB power adapter) and connect it to the router with a network cable.

The gateway can be configured via a web page, USB interface or the wM-BUS gateway server.
The received wM-BUS protocols can be pre-filtered in the device by manufacturer, medium code and/or individual IDs.
The gateway sends the received and filtered data to the server immediately, hourly, daily or monthly.
The server can be the free "wM-BUS to TCP Gateway Server" or an application developed by the user.
